SCI FI Channel announced that it is developing a series around British “mentalist” Derren Brown, described as “part James Bond, part Yoda.” With numerous top-rated series and specials to his credit, Brown has amazed U.K. television audiences. SCI FI’s original U.S.-produced version of the tentatively titled Derren Brown Project will consist of six one-hour episodes. Andrew O’Conner and Michael Vine will serve as executive producers for Objective Productions. SCI FI made the announcement at its upfront press event in New York on March 21.
Brown is described as a man who can inspire people to rob an armored car or freely give up their car keys and wallet to a stranger on the street simply by asking. The British press has called him “mind-blowing,” “fascinating” and “a warlock.” He doesn’t claim to be a mind reader, though he appears to predict and control human behavior. He describes his craft as a mixture of suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship.
Criss Angel will make a guest appearance on CBS CSI NY tonight at 10pm EST.
Criss Angel will play world-renowned illusionist Luke Blade. When Luke Blade brings his show to New York, his crew members start dieing. It will be up to Mac and his team of detectives to shed some light on the mysterious deaths.
CBS has a sneak peek of tonight’s episode of CBS CSI NY available to view right now. I have to admit, I haven’t watched CBS CSI NY before, but this episode sounds like a good one to catch.
I still will be watching Lost tonight and will catch this episode of CSI NY with Criss Angel online tommorow on CBS.com
“So, that’s Hawaiian bounty hunters ONE, magic guy NONE!” said Dog the Bounty Hunter to Criss Angel after his houdini like water escape went wrong.
Apparently an escape involving Criss Angel and Dog the Bounty Hunter in the Las Vegas Luxor hotel’s pool went wrong during filming for Mindfreak Season 3, Dog the Bounty Hunter was asked to tie and shackle Criss Angel and throw him into the Luxor pool for what should have been a daring aquatic escape.
Angel was submerged for 4-1/2 minutes trying to get free from the bounty hunter’s “Samoa Knot”, when his handlers got the sign to go in after him. Angel has rarely stayed under for more than 2-1/2 to 3 minutes, so it was “a close one,” a rep said.
The good news for Criss Angel fans, Dog the Bounty Hunter has accepted a rematch to take place in Hawaii. This is supposibly Criss Angels’ first blown magic trick in 15 years.

I just finished watching a street magic dvd entitled Crash Course 1: Sleight of Hand Card Tricks. This street magic dvd is broken down fully and taught by Brad Christian. I enjoyed this street magic DVD.
After I watched Born to Perform Card Magic with Oz Pearlman I realized this street magic DVD is much more superior compared to Crash Course 1. It goes over the same things but Born to Perform teaches a lot more other awesome techniques moves, and ways to milk the crowd. I will definitely be watching this Street Magic DVD again, Whereas I don’t believe I’ll be watching the Crash Course 1 again.
Born to Perform goes over 4 full routines, fundamentals, practical controls, and flourishes. Both street magic DVD’s go for 29.95 and you can find them on their websites.
